《Call Me By Your Name 以你的名字呼喚我》 - 相擁的靈魂



嗯,是的,我想我已經無可救藥的愛上這部作品。
雖然《Call Me By Your Name 以你的名字呼喚我》早在2018年初上映,也看過,但當時的我並沒有對CMBYN一見鍾情,就像我心中的第一名神作《Only Lovers Left Alive 噬血戀人》,多年後再見才懂得。

兩個靈魂相知相愛,是我對CMBYN的詮釋。在我個人的觀點:靈魂是沒有性別。生理性別由染色體決定,而靈魂沒有絕對,每個人的靈魂都是自由的,你會純粹愛上某一個人的靈魂,而不是軀殼。讀完原著才明白,我們追求的是相同的事情。Elio和Oliver擁有相同的靈魂,Elio是Oliver,Oliver即是Elio。縱使軀殼無法在一起,但仍擁有彼此的靈魂,就算身處於地球的兩端,永遠(困在)生活在平行的時空中,不會改變的是我中有你,你中有我,我是你,你是我。

電影大概只有呈現原著的15到20%,部分劇情及橋段則是因為有限預算、改編及初剪片長太長緣故不得不更動、捨去及刪減,天啊!我好想看初剪3小時20分鐘的版本,導演有提到或許有機會將刪減的片段在續集內使用閃回的方式呈現。電影劇本由編劇James Ivory進行改編,輾轉由原本擔任顧問的導演Luca Guadagnin執導。我喜歡單一鏡頭及膠捲拍攝的單純感,越是簡單越是生活。喜歡每一個長鏡頭,沒有零碎及過多的鏡頭切換,這樣的鏡頭語言,彷彿我也身處義大利和Elio及Oliver度過六星期的夏天。喜歡不經調色80年代模樣,因為拍攝期間的天況不佳使用人工光,但根本看不出來(笑)。喜歡藏在利用物件暗喻中的渴望,在對白中一點也不直白的告白與相互試探中交錯的火花。喜歡Elio和Oliver之間的肢體語言,每一個接觸與交流都是如此細膩。喜歡電影配樂和Sufjan Steven為電影打造的歌曲貫穿所有情感,隨著Elio和Oliver的思緒走動,一起焦慮,一起狂喜,甚至不知所措。

電影完全按照時序拍攝,這也是我很喜歡的部分,無論是在過去或現在的電影拍攝中都是相當少見,藉由這樣的方式,讓演員能夠完全進入角色,並隨著故事的節奏及推進,讓演員和角色合而為一,一同成長,一同經歷心境與生活轉變。17歲的Elio由Timothée Chalamet飾演,24歲的Oliver由Armie Hammer飾演。我只希望各別用一句話來形容我對他們的喜愛,Timmy是害羞懵懂的才華少年,Armie是自制的王子華麗登場,Timmy是Elio,Armie就是Oliver,他們完全成為對方也成為自己。嗯?好像超過一句了(笑)。

Oliver是渣男嗎?我不覺得。向現實低頭的Oliver,只是選擇了活在平行時空。往前可能是錯,但也不能夠再次重來,在電影和原著中對Oliver的家庭環境都並未琢磨,但能從Oliver和Elio的對話中得知,要是Oliver的父親知道了,肯定會把Oliver送進矯正中心!是啊,就算是2018年的現在也可能會發生的事情,更何況是1983年。這讓我不禁想像是像《The Miseducation of Cameron Post 她的錯誤教育》中的矯正場所嗎?

關於原著,是由Elio的第一人稱敘述。讀原著時,尤其第四章節 - Ghost Spots,好幾次都感動到不能自己,然而也因為無法消化Elio的情緒讓我斷斷續續,用了好幾天才看完篇幅最少的第四章節。雖然台灣代理出版的版本在翻譯上並沒有很完美,其中有錯字、缺字和標點符號錯誤,和一點點語句的不順暢,但請感受譯者的用心,感受譯者使用中文呈現英文原著滿滿優美的文字飛舞。

在書中我夾了不下數十張的書籤,有時候我都會想,三十五年後的現在,Elio和Oliver還在平行時空中嗎?Elio是否從昏迷狀態甦醒了?或許這就是作者和導演留下讓我們無限想像與思考的課題,不會有停止的一天。
